Privacy Policy

The short version: the Lexiconned app has no accounts, no ads,
and no third-party tracking or analytics. The only data involved is what's
needed to sell you a book unlock through Apple and to show other players
your chosen name during an online game. We don't sell or share your data.
This policy covers the Lexiconned mobile app for iPhone.
It does not cover the separate Lexiconned Daily
website.
What we collect, and why

Purchases. Book unlocks are sold as Apple in-app
purchases. Apple processes the payment; we never see your name, card, or
Apple ID. To keep track of what you own and let you restore purchases on a
new device, we use RevenueCat, which assigns your install
a random identifier and records which products you've bought. That
identifier is not linked to your real-world identity.

Your display name and answers. In Different Devices mode
you type a display name (any nickname works) so other players can tell
whose answer is whose. That name, and the answers you submit, are sent to
our game server and shown to the other people in your room. They are
held only for the length of that game session and are not stored
afterward or connected to you. In Same Device mode, names and answers
never leave your device.

On-device settings. Which books you've unlocked and your
game preferences are saved locally on your device so the app remembers
them between sessions. This stays on your device.
What we don't do
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers (IDFA).
- No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- No location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of personal data.
- No account, email collection, or newsletter.
Third parties
Two services are involved in delivering the app, each under its own privacy
policy:
Data retention
Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their own
policies, for as long as needed to support restores and refunds. Online game
data (names, answers, scores) exists only while a game is in progress and is
discarded when the room closes.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13. It carries a 16+ age rating
because of the optional Raunchy prompt pack.
Your choices

Your display name doesn't have to be your real name — any nickname
works — and Same Device mode never sends anything off your phone.

You can review and manage your purchases anytime through your Apple ID
settings, and request refunds through Apple.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it.
Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
